Located in the vibrant food court of Alexandrium Shopping Center in Rotterdam, Rappin’ marks the first European branch of a growing Turkish fast-food chain.

The project came to life through a 6-month planning and designing process followed by an intensive 2-month construction and production phase. Every element, from layout to materials and finishes, was designed to balance speed, comfort, and a dynamic atmosphere, reflecting the young and energetic identity of the brand.

Bold yellow and red hues instantly convey the lively spirit of a fast-food experience. Durable, horeca-grade leather fabrics were chosen for comfort and longevity. Acoustic ceiling panels were used to elevate the design, adding depth and dimension to the vibrant color palette, creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere.

I wanted to bring the 1812ART media agency’s brand identity, the amazing ‘RAPPIN WORLD‘ design, into the interior. Instead of two-dimensional elements like wallpaper or prints, the design was engraved into wood, integrating it as an architectural feature. Its harmony with red and yellow creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. While not fine dining, it offers customers a stylish and elevated fast-food experience.

Fast food, but not that fast! Your order is grilled and prepared only after you place it, and the open kitchen concept lets you watch the process. The company’s vision has been fully reflected in the design of the space.

In the restrooms, I went for a twist by using colors not found elsewhere in the space. Continuity was maintained by using the same ceramic brand and tile size throughout the design.
