This old house in a prime location was fully renovated, extended towards the garden, and gained a new top floor. I was involved from the start, allowing for thoughtful planning of layout, electricals, materials, and furniture. The result is a functional and beautiful home, loved by all.

Entree
Great attention was given to this entrance. The marble flooring was custom-cut abroad, featuring a bookmatched medallion tailored to the space. The staircase was fully renovated to match the new aesthetic. The previously closed ceiling was opened to create depth, resulting in a double-height gallery highlighted by a striking pendant light.

A custom mirror, wallpaper, and bespoke storage unit add to the refined, minimalist look. A smart switch system was also integrated, allowing all lights to be turned on when entering and off when leaving the home.

Guest Toilet & Storage Addition
We added a guest toilet and a built-in wardrobe at the rear entrance from the garage, creating a practical and functional entry zone.

Living Room
Marble was used throughout the house, while wooden parquet floors added warmth to the bedrooms. The living room features sophisticated touches like brass sofa legs and travertine details on the coffee table base. Glossy, reflective surfaces are balanced with soft fabric curtains. A 3x3m skylight was added to enhance natural light.

TV Room
The original fireplace was preserved and modernized with vertical Dekton cladding, also used in the kitchen. Its grooved texture adds depth and style. A cozy atmosphere was created with large sofas, perfect for relaxing by the fire and watching TV.

Kitchen
This sleek kitchen was realized with Siematic. With their expertise and my interior touches, a refined and functional space was created. Dark-toned cabinetry, Dekton countertops, and warm lighting complete the timeless look.

Breakfast Corner
A cozy breakfast corner was created by the garden-facing windows to enjoy natural light throughout the day. The curved bench and soft curry-toned chairs add warmth and comfort, while the black round table anchors the space with contrast and elegance.

Office Room
A sunken lounge was a clear request from the start; a space to read, chat with family, or relax during Zoom meetings. A built-in bookshelf was added for functionality. This room enjoys the best view in the house, thanks to the Japanese tree in the garden.

First Floor Corridor & Laundry
For ease of use, the laundry area was centrally positioned in the corridor between the bedrooms and bathrooms. It was recessed into a niche and concealed behind a built-in white cabinet with hidden hinges and frameless doors, creating a clean and minimal look.

White marble was used on the corridor floor, transitioning to natural wood parquet in the bedrooms for added warmth and contrast. Lighted socket outlets were chosen along the floor to softly illuminate the path at night, especially for trips to the bathroom.

Kid’s Bedroom & Bathroom
Designed for a young girl who loves reading, the room features a built-in reading nook , a cozy hideaway to get lost in books. Custom-made cushions add comfort, while the wardrobe includes flexible compartments to adapt to her changing needs.

The bathroom includes a dedicated vanity area, every young girl’s dream.

Master Bedroom & Bathroom
Designed in earthy and green tones, the suite includes a walk-in closet with bronze glass doors. The bathroom features a custom-made sink from Spain, and bespoke furniture was produced to match the room’s overall mood.

A Sunshower system was installed in the shower to bring light and warmth during the sunless Dutch winters. A dedicated vanity area was also thoughtfully integrated.

Second Floor Kitchenette & Guest Bathroom
The entire second floor was newly added and designed as an open plan to adapt to changing needs. A kitchenette was included due to the distance from the main kitchen.

A wellness area with a jacuzzi, sauna, and a real wood-burning stove was created to enjoy the view in comfort. Travertine-look tiles were used on the floors and in the bathroom, while wooden ceiling panels give the space a cozy, chalet-like feel, offering a touch of the Swiss Alps right at home.
