HOOFDDORP | ATTIC FLOOR

This project involved transforming a previously open attic space into a more functional and comfortable area for guests and homeoffice. Originally, the attic consisted of one large room with a laundry area and a technical room near the staircase.

To maximize usability, we divided the space into two separate bedrooms and added a new toilet. Given the sloped ceiling on both sides, we utilized these areas efficiently by designing custom built-in wardrobes, ensuring smart storage solutions without compromising space.

To optimize space, we removed the radiators and upgraded the entire attic to a floor heating system. This not only provides better heat distribution but also creates a cleaner, more streamlined look.

The first image showcases how the attic was divided into two rooms, creating a more practical layout while maintaining a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

This image highlights the guest toilet we added in the previously unused space next to the staircase. This clever addition enhances convenience for guests, making the attic level more self-sufficient. Despite the compact size, the design ensures functionality without compromising comfort.

This image showcases a custom-built cabinet solution designed to discreetly hide the washing machine, boiler, and other technical equipment. Featuring sliding doors, this design keeps the space neat and organized while ensuring easy access when needed.
